Genetic Site Testing

At Restoration Health and Wellness, we offer Genetic Testing to help identify the right medication for you or your loved one.

  • What it is: A pharmacogenomic test analyzing how your genes may affect medication response
  • Purpose: Guides providers on how you may metabolize medications for depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other psychiatric conditions
  • Procedure: Simple cheek swab at your provider’s office or at home
  • Insurance: Covered by most major plans with minimal to no out-of-pocket cost
  • Note: Must be ordered by a doctor or nurse practitioner

Spravato (Esketamine)

An FDA-approved treatment for adults with hard-to-treat depression.

Use: Prescription medicine taken with an antidepressant to treat: 

  • Adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD)
  • Adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) experiencing suicidal thoughts or actions

Limitations:

  • Not for pain relief or anesthesia
  • Not proven to prevent suicide or replace hospitalization
  • Safety and effectiveness in children are unknown
